The Oklahoma Sooners are now, officially, Landry Jones’ team.
The quarterback position commands leadership. Or, it should. If it doesn’t, then that team’s offense is usually in disarray.
But at OU, Jones is without question the leader of the offense. Even proven playmakers like senior running back DeMarco Murray and junior receiver Ryan Broyles follow their quarterback’s example.
“He was a little quiet last year, but this year he’s far from that,” said Murray. “He’s chewing people out left and right. That’s what we need him to do.”
