Baylor’s new stadium project is about 30 percent complete and on track for opening in time for the 2014 season opener.
On a recent media tour, project officials said construction on the 12-story stadium itself is proceeding in earnest, with 460 workers swarming the Brazos River site, some working around the clock.
The stadium’s price, originally $250 million, has grown to $260 million, not including a proposed alumni events center adjoining the stadium that’s expected to open in 2015 at a cost of $19.5 million.
