In 1987, ESPN’s College Football GameDay made its debut (your hosts? Tim Brando and Beano Cook). In the 23 seasons since it first aired, College GameDay has changed hosts twice — although Chris Fowler has been piloting the ship since 1990 — and transformed the way sports fans spend Saturday mornings. Is there any show that makes more of a connection with its audience?
“There’s no question that College GameDay is the national tailgate,” said John Skipper, ESPN’s executive vice president in charge of content.
