Our panel of experts weigh in . . .
RICK: Anyone else gets pulled from the field after miscues. Landry should be no different especially with his track record of late in big games. Great young man but missing that big game mentality. He is like a kid that gets hit by a pitch in the Little League. Gun shy at the plate. Oh well we will see. I would like to see Bell if Landry keeps up his miscues. Pull him out and settle him down. |
TOMMY: Stoops should not bench Landry. Blake Bell should get additional snaps, but Landry shouldn’t be benched for one bad game. Or even two. Landry has a personal stake (draft status) to consider, so he’ll not let down. And the OU offense isn’t really built for Blake at this point. |
MICHAEL: No comment. |
ROGER: No. Blake Bell is not ready. |
GREG: Bell can score touchdowns. It may just be running but at least he can hold onto the ball. |
ALEX: Stick with landry. He just had a bad game. |
BRENNA: I believe that Landry should start, if his ball placement, timing, and overall flow of the game is on point then by all means keep him in the game. But, in the event of that not happening I think Stoops should pull him out, give Bell a chance to see if he happens to be more in sync that game. I respect Stoops’ loyalty to his players, but when loyalty becomes stubbornness you might lose ballgames. |
HUNTER: I say play Bell, but we all know that will never happen. |
GERALD: Maybe. If he did not improve during the weeks of Pratice benching might not be a bad idea. |
