Mack Brown says the Texas quarterback job remains a dead heat between David Ash and Case McCoy.
Certainly doesn’t seem that way to outsiders. It looks like Ash is clearly the more productive quarterback, plus has more upside, since he was a true freshman QB a year ago. But Brown said Tuesday at Big 12 Football Media Days that he can’t pick right now and won’t.
“What we have now, we have two older guys,” Brown said. “They both won significant games, Case against (Texas) A&M, David Ash in the bowl game” against California. “So we’re coming in at a much better place.”
