Sooner Fashionista: Auburn Tiger not great look

by

Keep it stylish, but definitely not orange

Good ‘morrow, my darlings! It’s time for your Sooner Fashionista, stylist to the entire Sooner Nation, to point you in the right direction once again when it comes to game day fashion.

We may lose the football game, but we do it in style!

But do not worry, dearlings. I, your Glamour Goddess, will do the research for you so you will never fail in this regard.

This week we look to University of Auburn in Alabama. Why must they always be Tigers? One thing I have noticed since we’ve entered the new Fashion Catwalk called the SEC is that they love their “Tigers” in this conference.

Could it be a lack of imagination? Possibly. Probably. Most Definitely.

After looking at the fashion as it exists here, I fail to see anything interesting.

Overalls? Boring. Slouchy sweatshirts? Yawn. Boots of all heights and sizes? Turn the record over, I’ve heard this one before. Most unfortunately of all, it tends to be in shades of orange. Tacky, tacky, tacky. Why not just say “I’m a loser with no style” before we even meet?

Nothing good ever comes in orange burnt or otherwise.

As for Tigers? I tend to envision sleek animals, stylishly wearing fur; long, cultured nails ready to snag any and all prey that get in their way; designed by someone like Toni Matičevski.

I’m afraid Auburn fashion leans more toward Tony the Tiger. Though they have a memorable motto: “They’re Great”, they truly are not.

So keep it simple and stylish and best of all NOT ORANGE and we will win this war. Until next time, my loves! Ciao!
