Boise State set on BCS run

These are the moments when championships are won.

The moments when Heisman Trophies are won.

Even if it is the first game of the year.

Boise State junior quarterback Kellen Moore, who was misfiring slightly for three quarters and 13 minutes Monday night, was impeccable on the final drive of the much-hyped season opener against No. 10 Virginia Tech at FedExField.

His challenge: Drive the Broncos 56 yards in 107 seconds for the game-winning touchdown.

He did it in just 38 ticks – looking more like a guy playing pick-up football on the National Mall than the quarterback who had the future of College Football 2010 riding on his left arm.

Moore’s 13-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Austin Pettis boosted the No. 3 Broncos to a stunning 33-30 victory.
