Oklahoma State senior running back Kendall Hunter was honored as co-offensive player of the week Tuesday by the Big 12 Conference.
Hunter rushed for 257 yards and four touchdowns in the Cowboys’ 65-17 win over Washington State. Hunter had 208 rushing yards by halftime.
He shared the Big 12 honor with Kansas State’s Daniel Thomas. Thomas ran for 234 yards and two TDs in K-State’s 31-22 win over UCLA.
Hunter also was honored by SI.com as the national player of the week. Hunter had the highest rushing total in the country in the season’s opening week.
