Dave: Texas offense has worry meter spiking
OU Texas is again upon us. And I know I don’t have to tell you that the worry meter is spiking at 100%.
This is not last year’s Shorthorns. This team is good, and getting better. I don’t doubt that on paper we have the better team. But as they say, the game isn’t played on paper.
The big difference in this year’s Texas team is coaching. What I wouldn’t give for Greg Davis to be back in the offensive coordinators chair this Saturday.
But instead it will be Bryan Harsin of Boise State fame calling plays for the Shorthorns.
This week my head has been filled with nightmares of the hook and ladder and Statue of Liberty plays of Fiesta Bowl past. Outside of the gimmicky offense OU will see, Harsin and the other new coaches have instilled in Texas confidence. Something that they did not have last year.
