Metoyer, Bell put on show for Red-White
There are two seasons in Oklahoma: football season and tornado season.
They overlap for the Sooners’ Spring Red-White Game in April.
The threat of “life threatening” tornadoes didn’t keep 20,509 fans from coming to the spring game in Norman to get a dose of Sooner football that will have to satisfy them until the September 1, 2012 kickoff in El Paso to begin the actual 2012 season.
Most will probably be keeping track of highly touted redshirt freshman Trey Metoyer, who didn’t disappoint. The five-star recruit had six catches for 72 yards.
“He’s got incredible hands, ability to make plays adjusting to the football, all the things you saw today,” Coach Bob Stoops said after the game.
