Dave: Let’s not overlook the Baylor Bears (they aren’t forfeiting)
As it is in the Sooners’ best interest, I will be starting a Go Fund Me page to make sure Oklahoma State has the necessary funds to retain Mike Gundy as the head football coach.
My assumption is he will once again request a raise in the offseason and will most likely get it if history is any indicator.
After all, his current salary of 5 million dollars a year is a slap in the face for a head coach who now has a 2-14 record against his school’s main rival.
So please, consider giving to this worthy cause. No donation is too small. Keep up the good work Mike, we Sooners think you are doing a great job.
Following a COVID “bye” week and a schedule switch, we now have the Baylor Bears coming to Norman for a Saturday night match against the surging Sooners.
Baylor might be the scariest 2 and 5 team in the country.
Bedlam ends in blowout, OU wins 41-13
A tenacious defense and an offense that stumbled mid-way but righted itself turned Bedlam into a blowout as the Sooners continued their domination of the series against the Cowboys 41-13 under the prime time lights on Saturday.
It was the 90th win for Oklahoma over Oklahoma State in the 115 years the in-state rivals have played.
“We wanted to play tonight like we were the hunter and not the hunted,” Oklahoma Coach Lincoln Riley said. “We had to play aggressive. You have to go take it to beat a good team like this. And we certainly did that.”
Although the Oklahoma offense has lead the team in recent years, this Bedlam game showed an emerging defensive strength that led to the Sooners playing complimentary football in a manner long hoped for by fans.
