Sooners back on the winning track, 58-17
What a difference a week makes.
The Sooners went from the spoiled, following last week’s loss to Texas Tech, to the spoiler, blowing out previously unbeaten Kansas State 58-17 on Saturday in Manhattan.
The win was Oklahoma’s third road game win over a ranked team this season.
It also was Landry Jones’ most prolific game.
He threw for a school record 505 yards and five touchdowns, including 14 passes for 171 yards to All-American receiver Ryan Broyles.
The Sooners were actually behind, 17-14, early in the second quarter, and lead only 23-17 at halftime. But the Sooners who came out of the locker room after halftime looked like a different set of Sooners who went in.
